Building connections

Building connections is your essential guide to planning and delivering meaningful community engagement in conservation. This resource will help you to clarify your purpose, identify who to engage, and determine where to focus your efforts for the greatest impact. It features practical tools like the Power Map and Impact Scorecard to support thoughtful decision-making, along with strategies for sponsorship, event planning, and ongoing engagement.

  • Landcare is a national program connecting individuals, groups, and organisations to restore and protect the environment through sustainable land management and conservation. It includes thousands of landcare groups and other environmental community groups across Australia who identify an environmental issue and respond by organising others to come together to find a solution. Connecting with your local Landcare groups can provide valuable support, resources, and networking opportunities for private landholders and farmers. These groups offer guidance on sustainable land management, access to funding opportunities, and collaboration on conservation projects.
