SAFE HAVENS & CONSERVATION
PARTNERS
A haven for wildlife
Odonata’s safe havens and conservation partners protect high biodiversity landscapes and restore ecosystems, at scale. Our feral-proof safe havens allow threatened species populations to recover, thrive, and be protected from external threats.
Having multiple sites also allows for genetically robust insurance populations to be established - safeguarding against fire, flood and other climate-related pressures.
① Mt Rothwell Sanctuary VIC
The heart of Odonata’s conservation efforts, Mt Rothwell is a predator-free safe haven, protecting species like the eastern barred bandicoot, southern brush-tailed rock wallaby, and eastern quoll through dedicated habitat restoration.
③ Orana Park Sanctuary VIC
A vital link between Mt Kooyong and the Loddon River, Orana Park is supporting the movement and recovery of native and threatened species in a protected, feral-free environment.
② Tiverton Farm Sanctuary VIC
Victoria’s largest predator-free safe haven, Tiverton Farm combines sustainable agriculture with species conservation, ensuring a future for threatened wildlife while promoting regenerative farming practices.
④ Barbaloot Conservation Reserve VIC
Spanning 400 hectares in the Strathbogie Region, Barbaloot Conservation Reserve is a safe haven for native wildlife, supporting species recovery through habitat protection and feral predator exclusion.
⑤ Banyula Conservation Reserve NSW
Located in the Clarence Valley of northern NSW, Banyula is a 466-hectare safe haven dedicated to protecting biodiversity and endangered species, restoring critical ecosystems in a predator-free landscape.
⑥ Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary ACT
A world-class woodland restoration project, Mulligans Flat is reintroducing species like eastern bettongs and bush stone-curlews, while pioneering conservation science for habitat recovery.
⑦ Phillip Island Nature Parks VIC
In partnership with Phillip Island Nature Parks, Odonata is supporting the reintroduction of the bush stone-curlew, a species once lost to Victoria and missing from Phillip Island landscapes for over 50 years.
⑧ Wudjari Indigenous Protected Area, WA
In partnership with ETNTAC, we’re supporting the co-design of the Wudjari Indigenous Protected Area Management Plan, protecting cultural corridors, strengthening Country, and backing a thriving ranger program delivering Healthy Country outcomes.
